Message from President of PACM

23^rd Annual Dinner

7.30pm, 24^h March 2007

Banquet Hall, Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur

Our behalf of the club, I cordially invite all members to attend our 23^rd Annual Dinner.

For RM40.00 you will get a halal Chinese sit-down dinner, good company among friends and members, chance to brag about your personal best times or groan about injuries and tough routes, especially as its one week after the KL marathon.

The theme is “Wild, Wild West” and you are encouraged to dress up to match the theme. There are prizes for the most appropriately dressed man and lady, kindly donated by Tammy Lim. For those who prefer to stay casual, do dress in denim jeans and get into the “atmosphere” of the theme. There will be bandana (handkerchief to tie round the neck) at the door, and these should be worn during the dinner (at the very least you can use it to wipe your mouth after dinner!). Again, this is to get all the guests into the “feel” of the occasion.

I do hope you will all make the effort to come and get to know the other members, and maybe train together or race each other in competitions.

23^rd Annual General Meeting

3.30pm, 24^h March 2007

Banquet Hall, Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur

Do note that the Annual General Meeting will be held at the same place and date at 3.30pm. Do come and get to know the nitty gritty of the club, and pose questions to the executive committee. Exercise your right to have a say on the way the club is run.

Every member who attends the AGM will get a Brooks round neck T-shirt, sponsored by Brooks and the club jointly.

Finisher’s T-shirt for KLIM 2007

The exco has decided that the club will sponsor a quality round neck t-shirt (similar to the Mizuno Wave Run one) for any member who finishes the 42km at KLIM 2007 subject to certain conditions.

The registration for KLIM will be your own responsibility. However, you must register with the club before the dateline, showing your KLIM receipt, and stating your size. No changes in size will be allowed as we will print exactly the number/sizes registered with us. This offer is valid only for members who joined before 1^st January 2007 and who register with us. You will be given the t-shirt at the finishing point and you must wear it as soon as possible after that.

The dateline is 5^th March 2007 as the supplier needs the time to manufacture. Registration is on Sundays at Bukit Aman car park or through email ceimj@pc.jaring.my (Munning).

Brooks Bonding Run 2007

7 am, 15^th April 2007
Sabak Bernam

This year’s event will be hosted by the Sabak Bernam area group, and will be held at Sabak Bernam.

The run consists of pairs of runners running and finishing together. This is not a competitive race, and is more for the family to spend a weekend running together.

Member + member : Free

Member + non-member : Free

Non-member + non-member : RM10 + RM10

A light breakfast and drinks will be provided free to all participants, sponsored by the club. A small gift will be sponsored by Brooks.

Lodging and transport will be at your cost (or you can drive there early in the morning). Anyone needing lodging please inform Jenny Lim or Munning (ceimj@pc.jaring.my) and we will try our best (no guarantee for late enquiries) to arrange (do note that lodging is limited and very basic at Sabak Bernam and Sungai Besar).

I strongly urge all of you to try your best to support this effort by the Sabak Bernam group, and they are very eager to show you their town!
