Doha Asian games Men Marathon results

Qatar's Mubarak Hassan Shami won the men's marathon title here at the Asian Games on Sunday to give the host country their first athletics title of the championships.

The 26-year-old Kenyan-born runner came home in 2hours 12minutes and 44seconds.

The finish for second was so close that both athletes were awarded silver medals. Satoshi Osaki of Japan and another Kenyan-born athlete, Khalid Kamal Yaseen of Bahrain, both crossed the line in 2hrs 15:36.
