Come 28 January 2007, Dr William Tan will push his wheelchair in the North Pole, South Pole and all the continents on Planet Earth to set a new world record. His wheelchair odyssey will take him to Africa, South America, North America, Antarctica, Asia, Australasia, Europe and the Arctic.

He will face tremendous challenges. But, with steel determination and resilience, he will overcome all odds. Why? To raise funds for Global Flying Hospitals, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is in providing urgent and preventative medical attention to suffering people in developing countries worldwide, with specialized aircraft refurbished as state-of-the-art surgical hospitals.
